Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Johnson City, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,476 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 11 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Critical Care Float Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: ACLS Certification, Critical Care experience Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. Prevention of illness and injury is a key responsibility. The RN alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a crucial aspect of this role. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. The position includes assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN manages a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse when designated. Factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost, and impact are considered in patient management. Patient and family education in health promotion and disease management is essential. A working knowledge of pharmacology is required, with safe medication administration per policy. Shared responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization is expected. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. Participation in the Nursing Shared Governance Model and support for the Unit Council are encouraged. The RN engages in professional development and continuing nursing education. Completing all mandatory education requirements is necessary. Integration of nursing research and current evidence into practice is expected. Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students is part of the role.
