VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed
Veterinary Technician Specialty Supervisor for our busy Emergency
Department. We are a hybrid animal hospital and proud to be one of
the premier providers of primary, specialty and emergency care
located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region in
Upstate New York.We are passionate about the training, growth and
development of all our associates. With multiple specialty
departments available you will have the opportunity to learn from
the best! Our 17 doctor hospital serves our clients 24/7/365. We
are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing
advanced care and management of patients in a specialty setting.We
offer our supervisors monthly training on leadership, human
resources, empathy, burnout and compassion fatigue. We also work as
a collaborative unit providing you the connectivity of 10
additional specialty hospital supervisor teams to grow, learn, and
share information with. Working together to create effective,

Supervisor Responsibilities:Full Technician Skill
UtilizationExperience in Critical Care and Emergency
preferred.Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital
servicesOversee hiring, training, performance and staff
developmentOversee schedule and time off requests with leadership
supportOversee service development and equipment needsAssist in the
development of SOP for your departmentCoaching associates based on
need to aid in their successSome regional travel requiredFacilitate
communication of ideas, policies, standards and
performanceCollaborate with leadership to develop performance
improvement plansSupport associates in their career via VTNE
guidance, licensure guidance, and schedulingMaintain skill
efficiency and knowledgePotential Schedule: Flexible will include
nights, weekends and holidaysCompensation: $26 - $29 / hour based
on skill set, experience, and licensure status. (CVT, VTS)What
