Job Description:
Technical Analyst I, Binghamton, NY United Health Services is
seeking a Technical Analyst I to join our IS Desktop Support team
in Binghamton, NY. The Technical Analyst I develop solutions and
procures PC hardware, peripherals, and software to support user
needs. This is a BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE position. Shift: Days Hours per
week: 40 Salary range: Depending on experience ---- Technical
Analyst I Overview Reviews and analyzes user requests from the
request system. Performs administrative maintenance for network
accounts. Develops solutions and procures PC hardware, peripherals,
and software to support user needs. Provides technical
guidance/assistance and performs the installation and configuration
of Distributed LAN Servers/Systems. Technical Analyst I Key
Responsibilities and Expectations + Provides support and
maintenance of technical hardware and software: + Installation and
maintenance of PC workstations. + Ensures timely resolution of Help
Desk and Work Order requests. + Troubleshooting and diagnostic
review of issues (Level 2 and 3 Support) + Maintain systems
software, fixes, updates and upgrades to NextGen and Citrix
Environment. + Maintain systems software, fixes, updates to UHS
Desktop environment (SCCM and/or scripting). + Participate in
projects; manage multiple change requests, new initiatives, etc. +
Manage project status report, issues, action items, risks, change
log, internal and external dependencies, etc. + Compiles and
maintains standard operating procedures + Proactively maintains
systems and executes preventative maintenance plans. Monitors
system status and reacts to issues as they arise. + Supports
internal and external networks and systems: + Provides
documentation and proper inventory of equipment. + Assists with
periodic audits of all existing hardware within the organization. +
Configuration and maintenance of active directory authentication,
group policy, DHCP, and DNS. + Assists with technical development
and testing for new services and server applications. + Assists
with the evaluation of existing technologies in order to maintain
efficient and cost-effective technologies within the organization.
Technologies include but are not limited to; hardware, software,
networks and telecommunications. + Coordinates with other
departments and outside organizations to include but not limited to
the following: vendor quotes, equipment receipt and transportation,
hardware and software installations/upgrades, cabling installation
and maintenance of equipment. + Responsible for Help Desk Level 2/3
and On-Call support. + Demonstrate commitment to organizational

Position Qualifications Minimum: + Four years college (Information
Technologies based) and 4 years technical experience in a network
environment or 8 years technical experience in a network
environment. Preferred: + A+, CCNP, MCSE, SCCM, Citrix but not
