Primary duties and accountabilities will include, but are not limited to the following listed activities: - Act as a Preventive Maintenance Technician: - Perform daily running and scheduled preventive maintenance checks and services, primarily on assigned equipment which includes:" Oil and lubrication routines, Filter changes, Parts Cleaning" Component/Part wear inspections, Tolerance checks" Perform PM checks/analysis, may include data collection" Safety inspections, EHS related Audits" Inspections by sight, touch, sound (including use of tools)" Diagnose and isolate components and assembly malfunctions" Adjust, calibrate, and align components and assemblies" Replacement of unserviceable parts, modules and assemblies" Ordering repair parts, Use of inventory system for parts look up - Ensure all relevant equipment data is documented through AVANTIS work orders and any follow up work orders are filled out as appropriate. - Participate in equipment failure analysis with maintenance team - Attend Maintenance Team Meetings, Preshifts, Packaging Wall meetings, Powerwalks and other Run Right Processes as needed. - Interface and communicate with Resources, Boxdrops, Packaging and Maintenance Mechanics to eliminate potential obstacles and ensure PMs are performed on time. - Supports Mechanics as needed and works closely with them to ensure the equipment is PM'd properly and equipment runs right. - Acts as a mechanic's assistant, when appropriate, assisting with more complex repairs, rebuilds, tests/diagnostics, modifications and installations. - Other duties as assigned by SCLs/Dept Manager to support the Maintenance Team. Dept. Performance is to be improved/driven through the work and interactions noted. We asked our Maintenance Mechanics what we should tell you about your work day, and this is what they had to say: You will work with our experienced mechanics on difficult repairs You are willing to work under pressure to fix equipment You will work urgently to get the equipment back up and running You will be troubleshooting issues on a wide variety of equipment You will conduct repair failures of production and facilities equipment You will ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability You will apply basic knowledge and then get help to make a repair Responding to maintenance calls is part of your job, and this can sometimes mean helping complete a repair that has already been started You will inspect machines, develop repair lists and identify short-term and long-term repairs so that machines run correctly You will work from task lists when diagnosing machines and taking corrective actions Professional insight and knowledge of the operation of our equipment will enable you to understand problems and take action to resolve issues.
