Created by healthcare, for healthcare, we have a dedicated focus on our people and customers, as well as providing tools, processes, support resources, data analytics and insource strategies that drive results.The facilities Electrician 2 assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools at the working location of Our Lady of Lourdes -Binghamton, NY. The Facilities Electrician 2 diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Facilities Electrician 2 is responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. He/she inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes."As a healthcare company we have an important responsibility to protect individual and public health. Submission & Approval of an Exemption does not guarantee that an exemption can be accommodated."Maintaining Electrical Systems:Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in electrical systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.Installselectricalequipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.Performs and develops preventative maintenance measures of all electrical equipment in compliance with all NFPA, NEC and TJC codes ensuring operational readiness and performance. Maintains and contributes to systems training manuals and upgrades as changes occur.Prepares the preventative maintenance schedule and produces monthly reports.Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.Identifies and recommends long-term needs and strategies for electrical systems and components, resulting in cost savings.Maintains knowledge of and develops departmental equipment procedures for power outages.Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations.Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.May coordinate, maintain and repair all energy management systems.May travel to multiple sites to perform functions of the role.Special Projects:Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.Assists, participates in and/or leads special projects as assignedProvides additional support and training to facilities stakeholders,including Level 1 electricians.Other duties as assignedEducation and Work Experience: High School diploma or GED requiredGraduate of Electrical Trade School requiredJourneyman Electrician License or equivalent certification/license requiredMinimum 5 years' experience as a journeyman electrician requiredValid driver's license requiredKnowledge:Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environmentReview and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and solve practical problemsSpecific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: interpret resulting data; standards for design and construction; electrical codes; hazards and safety precautions#MFMBM
