exploration and community service. Job Description: The Decker
College of Nursing and Health Sciences (DCNHS), Division of Health
and Wellness Studies, seeks applicants for Adjunct Instructors with
specialty areas in the following: Nutrition, Exercise Science,
Athletic Training, Community/Public Health, Health Promotion,
Stress Management, Aquatics, Strength and Conditioning, Yoga, Tai
Chi, Martial Arts, and Self-Defense. These positions are part-time,
non-tenure track faculty positions with an anticipated start date
of August 2022 for the Fall 2022 semester, renewable annually. The
successful candidates will possess strong teaching and evaluation
skills with an interest in wellness education. We are seeking
multi-disciplined applicants with expertise in a variety of the
areas listed above with the option of teaching one or more courses.
Preference will be given to candidates who have taught in higher
education and have experience teaching exercise and a
health-related curriculum in a traditional and on-line environment.
Candidates with additional certifications will be given high
priority. The positions will require teaching general education
courses as well as courses in the Health and Wellness Studies
Minor. Additional faculty responsibilities include attendance at
the evening faculty meetings at the start of each semester.
Experience with a variety of technology including on-line learning
environments and innovative classroom teaching is preferred. Having
relevant exercise and wellness related certifications as well as
participation and membership in professional organizations is
encouraged. Salary and benefits are aligned with SUNY UUP member
negotiated benefits. The position reports to the Director of Health
and Wellness Studies. Requirements: Qualified applicants must hold
a minimum of a Master's degree in a related field with preference
given to doctoral candidates (ABD) or (PhD) in an
exercise/health-related field. Certifications from ACSM, CHES,
Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent are desirable. A minimum of
2 years of teaching in a higher education, health and wellness or
nutrition program is requested. Additional Information: The State
