Job Description:

Exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to assist in our newest startup. This position offers a flexible schedule to build relationships with prospects, working through a sales cycle, as well as supporting additional responsibilities to pursue and close sales.  This position offers a competitive salary plus an upside of uncapped sales commissions.

This person will be integral in building the business from the ground up! As a seasoned sales professional you will have the ability to influence the program’s growth trajectory. With the growth of the business, comes increased earning and job growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Must be comfortable working through a long sales cycle (up to 6 months)
  • Responsible for explaining and demonstrating our client’s HVAC / Lighting capabilities, services, and products, as well as accurately answering questions from customers and prospects.
  • Deliver prepared sales presentations, utilizing educational materials to describe products or services to effectively influence existing and potential customers through the sales process.
  • Will work collaboratively with internal team and Sales Leadership to support customers developing and providing technical solutions to meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with manufacturer.
  • Understand Global partners/program.
  • Will be required to perform other job duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Skills

  • Results driven with excellent time management organizational and overall execution skills to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
  • Must have selling experience with a willingness to open doors with high level executives.
  • Self-motivated, highly energetic and results driven individual.
  • Ability to utilize search engines such as Linked in or Google to search and connect with key decision makers.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Project, Power Point, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM
  • A proven track record of developing relationships with prospects and closing sales.
  • Adaptable and amenable to change.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment helpful.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to take on tasks outside of your comfort zone.

Education:

  • BS/BA degree (Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields preferred)
  • Lighting and HVAC product experience is a plus.
  • A rolodex of national electrical/HVAC distributors is a plus.
