We Are Hiring Technologist-Cytology - Lab Histology?with Lourdes?in Binghamton, New York ?Full-Time/Day Shift Position Why Join Ascension? ? What You Will Do As an Associate with Lourdes in Binghamton, New York, you will have the opportunity to perform?clinical diagnostic studies and evaluations of cellular material from all body sites. Responsibilities: Completes routine screening of cell specimens, reports results and documents daily workload records. Processes specimens for analysis according to specifications related to the type of specimen. Conducts quality control assessment, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Assists in the collection and processing of fine needle aspiration specimens. Assists with data collection or special projects as assigned. Demonstrates in depth knowledge of the policies and procedures for patient preparation, sample requirements, specimen collection, and pre-analytical factors that affect sample quality. Assists in documentation and submission of all required laboratory, departmental and staff statistics/reports. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: Required Credential(s): Clinical Laboratory Technologist?credentialed from the? New York Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology? obtained within? 3 Months (90 days)?of hire date or job transfer date.? Education: Diploma? High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required ?
