Job Description:
Job Description:Support the installation, optimization,
integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modifications,
security, and upgrading of development support systems and
simulation components to provide services that enable programs to
effectively develop simulation software solutions.Working with
complex configuration environments; build servers, virtual labs,
generalizing tools to accommodate multiple languages and
architectures, and assuring tools and processes scale to
accommodate the evolving needs of our diverse teams.Work closely
with the production release and operations teams to establish and
deploy consistent, high quality, and packaged builds for our
internal and external customers.Create media and procedures for
coldstart execution of training device, both in-plant and at
customer facilities.Work with other team members to design and
document development system architectures and topologies for both
general and simulation specific purposes. Preferred SkillsStrong
RedHat Linux and Windows Server System Administration, TCP/IP
Networking, shell scriptingExperience with running small
network-isolated closed room datacenters.Experience with Domain
Controller setup and configuration of Group Policy
ObjectsConfigure, manage, monitor, and optimize on-line,
near-online and off-line storage systems (NAS, SAN, NFS
etc).Security+ Certification, OS or networking
certificationsExperience configuring Cisco and/or HP
NetworkingAbility to create and maintain documentation for setup
procedures and other system documentation.Experience with System
Hardening with standards such as the DoD Security Technical
Implementation Guides (STIG).Experience with vulnerability
assessment tools such as ACAS and SCAP.Experience as a Team Lead to
include task and budget managementExperience with Windows and Linux
Patch Management (such as WSUS and YUM).Ability to install and
maintain Server OS and configuration using automated installation
tools such as Kickstart and Windows Automated Installation Kit
(WAIK)Ability to install and maintain version control tools such as
Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest or Atlassian and Perforce/Git
Education and Experience Requirements:A BS/BA in Computer Science
or equivalent work experienceLinux and Windows System
Administration, knowledge of hardware, as well as expertise in
command line tools.Strong interpersonal, problem solving and
analytical skillsExcellent organization and multi-tasking abilities
with the ability to resolve conflicting prioritiesMust be able to
communicate clearly (written and verbal)Ability to effectively plan
and organize projects and manage prioritiesDemonstrated capability
in the following areas:Scripting (such as
Bash/Powershell/Perl)Account, password and permission management:
Users Creation, Group Creation, Permissions, Creations of
Folders.Linux/Windows Integration: File sharing,
authentication.Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and
resolutionMaintain documentation for systems and data storage
process and proceduresCreate/Maintain Documentation for system
setup and deploy.Experience with System HardeningEvent log, audit
log and syslog analysisProvide timely production support and
problem resolutionFlexibility to support occasional overtime,
weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS)Ability to obtain
and maintain a DoD SECRET Clearance is required.
