As a CDL-A Delivery Driver, you play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of our products to a diverse client base, including convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores, and chain restaurants. Safely operate a tractor trailer to deliver goods to customers according to the delivery schedule. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as required. Plan routes efficiently and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Build strong relationships with customers during delivery, ensuring a smooth process and addressing any issues on the spot. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.). Ability to handle physical workload and to physically lift and handle heavy items without damaging merchandise. Strong time-management and customer service skills. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.). Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) required. Compliance with Department of Transportation’s drug and alcohol testing rules. DOT medical card. Possible certifications in Transportation Safety or similar are considered a plus but not required.
