What You ll Do
  • Provide high-quality neonatal care in a Level III NICU using evidence-based clinical guidelines
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with nursing and pediatric subspecialty support
  • Cover high-acuity needs including attending high-risk deliveries and assessing critically ill newborns
  • Participate in NICU coverage that includes 24-hour, in-house NNP support and transport call
  • Support the NICU s clinical capabilities, including conventional ventilation and HFOV
  • Maintain strong clinical judgment and consistent care coordination for inpatient neonates
  • Provide timely consults and collaboration with perinatal services at the regional perinatal center

About the Assignment
This permanent Neonatology physician role is based at a Level III NICU within a regional perinatal center in Elmira, New York. The NICU supports conventional ventilation and HFOV, with strong nursing support and access to pediatric subspecialty resources for consults and in-house services. The facility performs approximately 1,500 deliveries/year with a steady NICU volume and includes a meaningful portion of transport admissions from surrounding counties.
