Job Description Hanker Systems Inc is seeking a local contract nurse RN Endoscopy for a local contract nursing job in Rome, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Endoscopy - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endo RN) – Day Shift Location: Rome, NY Department: Endoscopy Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12?hour shift; may vary) ? URGENT NEED – IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION A facility in Rome, NY is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse for a full?time 13?week contract. This role requires strong GI/Endoscopy procedural experience and the ability to handle a fast?paced environment involving sedation, scopes, and recovery. Key Responsibilities - Assist with endoscopic procedures, including: - EGDs - Colonoscopies - Bronchoscopies - ERCP (if applicable) - Provide moderate sedation and monitor patients pre?, intra?, and post?procedure - Perform pre?procedure assessments and patient education - Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, techs, and recovery staff - Manage post?procedure recovery and discharge instructions - Maintain strict infection?control and safety standards - Document timely and accurately in the EMR - Participate in on?call rotations Required Qualifications - Active RN license — New York State (Required) - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Endoscopy/GI experience required - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) - NIH Stroke Scale Certification (must be completed prior to start) - Ability to complete additional 8 hours of CEUs during facility orientation - Must be able to take 6 on?call shifts per month About Hanker Systems Inc Healthcare staffing at Hanker Systems Inc is focused on delivering the right talent to support quality patient care.
