Oncology RN Job Details - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York travel nursing jobs) - Healthcare Setting: Oncology – Infusion Unit - Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) - Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week - Weekends/Call: No weekends or call required - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250 Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York RN license preferred) - BLS certification (required) - Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology nursing or infusion therapy (2 years preferred) - Proficient in mediport access, IV insertion, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections - Previous travel nurse experience preferred Oncology RN Responsibilities - Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments to oncology patients - Perform mediport access, IV insertions, and injections as required - Monitor patient responses and manage side effects of cancer treatments - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive clinical support - Educate patients and families on oncology treatment plans and symptom management - Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to all safety protocols Discover the charm of Ithaca, NY—home to Cornell University, breathtaking gorges, and the Finger Lakes region.
