Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Every other weekend schedule required • Holiday coverage per unit needs • Unencumbered NY RN License required • BLS certification required • Minimum 1 year of RN Med Surg experience required • Associate of Nursing degree required, Bachelor's preferred • Coordinate patient care and provide specialized nursing services • Supervise LPNs and support nursing staff • Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports in timely manner • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues • Manage electronic records management systems • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary team environment • Remain calm and professional during crisis and emergent situations • Physical requirements include heavy lifting up to 45 pounds, standing 4 hours per day, walking 1 hour per day • Must be able to wear N-95 respirator mask • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive Medical Surgical Unit that focuses on providing specialized nursing services and coordinated patient care.
