Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU or Progressive Care
Unit (PCU) nursing experience, including documented travel nurse
experience - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York; all
RN licenses verified via NURSYS - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
certifications required - Experience with EPIC EMR (electronic
medical records) - Skills checklist matching cardiac stepdown
specialty - Valid driver's license with address matching
demographics - Ability to float to other units as needed - Adult
patient care experience (18 years) Cardiac Stepdown Nurse
Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients
with neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory (COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV
stepdown, post-op) diagnoses - Operate specialty clinical
equipment: temp pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap, Neptune
Vapo, and chronic ventilators (with respiratory therapy support) -
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and
collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams - Maintain
accurate documentation using EPIC EMR - Float to other units as
required to support patient care needs - Follow unit protocols and
