Job Description Colorectal Surgery opening in New York* Located in *Elmira, NY* - just 33 miles from Ithaca and 90 miles from Syracuse Full-time, permanent opening* Hospital-employedSeeking a skilled and motivated Colorectal Surgeon to join a well-established, multi-specialty practice in the scenic Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery, though other applicants will be considered based on experience.This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of 4 general surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who assist with inpatient care and take first call. The team operates in a collegial environment that promotes high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering professional growth.The practice is supported by a large network of regional primary care providers, ensuring a robust referral base and a growing surgical service line to serve a 300,000 patient population.Key Responsibilities:* Perform colorectal surgeries utilizing advanced robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic techniques* Participate in a team-oriented approach to patient care with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered outcomes* Collaborate with a group of surgeons and APPs to manage inpatient care and call coverage* Contribute to the growth and development of the colorectal surgery service line* Engage with a strong network of primary care providers for referrals and continuity of careQualifications:* Fellowship-trained in Colorectal Surgery preferred* Proficient in robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic surgical techniques* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment* Strong commitment to patient care, professional development, and continuous learningLocation:The position is located in Elmira, NY, within the picturesque Finger Lakes region.
