Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
(RN) Profession: Staff Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 (7pm-7am)
Experience: Emergency department and psychiatric experience
required (substance use and crisis intervention) License: Current
Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC
Must-Have: - Associate's degree from an accredited school of
Nursing - Collaboration skills - Communication skills (verbal and
written) - Critical thinking and judgement - Organizational

management expertise Description: The Registered Nurse (RN)
protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN
plays a crucial role in the prevention of illness and injury. They
strive to alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment
of human responses. Advocacy in the care of individuals and
families is a key responsibility. The RN is accountable for
compliance with all standards of practice and professional
development. This is in accordance with nursing policies and
regulations. They promote a caring and healing environment for
patient-centered care. The RN assesses, plans, delegates,
coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care. They manage a
group of patients, serving as a primary nurse when designated by
unit assignment. Safety, effectiveness, competency, and cost are
considered in their practice. The RN educates patients and families
in health promotion and disease management. Utilizing available
resources is vital for providing education. A working knowledge of
pharmacology is essential for safely administering medications. The
RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource
utilization. Compliance with nursing practice standards and
regulatory requirements is mandatory. Active participation in
improvement initiatives is expected. The RN integrates nursing
research and current evidence into practice. Support for new
employees and students is provided as part of their duties. The RN
may perform charge nurse or shift coordinator responsibilities when
assigned. Additional responsibilities may be assumed as needed.
