Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVOR Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Surgical Technologist - Cardiothoracic Specialist/n/n Job Description/n We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with a focus on cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, VATS, and robotic chest surgeries. This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Adhere to Infection Control policies and demonstrate expertise in surgical scrub technique. /n - Maintain principles of sterile technique throughout the surgical process. /n - Assist the surgeon by gowning, gloving, draping, and passing instruments as needed. /n - Maintain an organized operative field, ensuring instruments are clean and properly placed. /n - Keep accurate counts of sponges, tapes, needles, and instruments. /n - Prepare for cases by assembling supplies and equipment according to preference cards. /n - Ensure patient safety by identifying potential hazards in the OR. /n - Utilize experienced OR staff as a resource and assist in training new personnel. /n - Help in suturing, retracting, and suctioning under the direction of the surgeon. /n - Expedite efficient turnover of the OR between cases and take rotating call duty. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Cardiothoracic experience is a must. /n - Certification as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA (CST) or NCCT (TS-C) is required. /n - High School diploma or equivalent is necessary. /n /n/nSchedule/n Day Shift: Monday to Friday, with options for 5, 8-hour shifts or 4, 10-hour shifts.
