Job Description:
Job Description - Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is
properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical
history is corroborated and appropriately documented while
respecting confidentiality. - Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol
and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety,
optimizing patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low
as Reasonably Achievable). - Preparing and/or administering, as
applicable, medications through new or existing vascular access
site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. - Evaluates images
for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and
verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, post processing
of data if applicable. - Educating and monitoring students and
other health care providers. - Assists or performs diagnostic,
fluoroscopic, or interventional procedures as prescribed by a
licensed practitioner. - Maintains intra-arterial access as
prescribed by a licensed practitioner. - Panning of the procedure
table during image production. - Participates in physiological
monitoring of patients. - Performing manual hemostasis during and
after the procedure. - Operates and ensures the quality control of
hemodynamic recording devices, electrocardiogram monitoring
equipment/cardiac stimulator, oxygen consumption equipment, and
blood analysis equipment. - Initiates ACLS protocols as required
for cardiac roles. - Performs non-interpretive fluoroscopic
procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. - Maintains
and removes peripherally inserted central catheters as prescribed
by a licensed practitioner. - Practice of sterile technique
preparing for procedure including scrubbing, applying surgical
gown, gloving, draping and setup of instrument table. - Records,
monitors, and assesses hemodynamic/electrogram data collected
during procedures. Work is typically performed in a clinical
environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific
