Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel FLOAT RN - MS/Tele - Night Shift Location New York Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift, 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements. Job Description The FLOAT Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in various units, including Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Inpatient Rehabilitation. The role requires a thorough understanding of nursing principles and the ability to assess and meet patients' needs effectively. Responsibilities Provide quality patient care and assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs. Recognize and address safety issues for self and patients, implementing safe lifting and moving techniques. Function effectively in high-stress situations and apply creative problem-solving skills. Assume duties as a charge nurse when needed. Demonstrate strong leadership skills, prioritizing and delegating effectively. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current New York RN License. Completed at least one successful travel assignment; first-time travelers will not be considered. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Experience with Meditech software. Preferred experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
