Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Department/n/n Location/n New York, NY /n/nAssignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Night shift; 48 hours per week, with every other weekend required. /n/nJob Description/n The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for protecting, promoting, and optimizing health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. The RN advocates for the care of individuals and families, ensuring compliance with all standards of practice in accordance with the regulations and guidelines set forth by relevant governing bodies. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care in managing a group of patients. /n - Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management. /n - Administer medications safely per UHS Hospitals policy. /n - Engage in resource utilization, including staffing and supplies. /n - Participate in shared governance and improvement initiatives. /n - Focus on professional development and integrate evidence into practice. /n - Provide support and guidance to new employees and students. /n - Assume Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator responsibilities as needed. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Current New York State Registered Nurse License. /n - BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). /n - 3 years of current experience working in an Emergency Department, including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatric care. /n - Previous traveler experience is preferred. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
