Job Title: FLOAT RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks, possibly longer Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Previous hospital RN experience preferred; must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment License: Current New York license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred Must-Have: - Coronary Care experience preferred - Thorough knowledge of nursing principles - Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills Description: Weekend, holiday, and call required. Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. Traveler must possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Ability to provide quality patient care and assess patient's needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual. Must recognize safety issues for self and others. Implementation of safe patient handling and mobility practices is essential. Ability to function well in stressful situations and possess good, creative problem-solving skills is necessary. May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
