Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist to join our WMC Hospitalists department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible. A not-for-profit organization, located in the Southern Tier of Upstate New York with Primary and Specialty Care offices in many locations throughout Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties.The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician.Essential Duties:Obtain medical histories when necessaryPerform physician examsDiagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines)Order diagnostic testPrescribe or recommend medications for prescriptions for medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines)Provide preventive health screenings and immunizationsAssure charts are completed timelyMake follow up calls to check patient's progressConsult with physician regarding patient's symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatmentPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Master's degree in nursingCertified Nurse PractitionerLicensed in the State of New YorkLOCATION: Binghamton, NY is located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse, NY.
