Growing private Ophthalmology/Optometry practice in beautiful Ithaca, NY has been in business for 16 years now, and we are seeking another optometrist to help with our expanding patient base and continue to grow with our practice. Single office location with NO TRAVEL REQUIRED. You will always know the one and only location you are working at and never have to travel to another location for work. Qualified candidates must have a New York State Optometry License should be comfortable managing their own patients; however, we are all happy here to teach, learn and help each other. We see a diverse population, including kids and adults. In our university town, many patients come from distant places, others live next door. We see folks with nothing but refractive errors and those with complex medical or surgical eye disease. Although our current doctors have specialty training in pediatric ophthalmology and low vision care respectively, we treat all types of ocular disorders and expect our new associate to do the same. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each doctor takes call once a month. Salary is competitive for the region, and benefits include paid vacation time, health insurance, 401K and continuing education costs. We are located in Ithaca, NY- a charming college town, close to Cornell University and Ithaca College. The area offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, skiing, enjoying our 40-mile lake, wineries and more.
