What You Will Do As our Security Manager,YOU will have the opportunity to manage the daily operations of the security department. You will: + Assign responsibilities and tasks to support department function. + Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and policies/procedures. + Monitor and follow up on customer complaints and investigations. + Manage and coach staff. + Contribute to Mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement: A. Dedication - Affirming hope and joy in our ministry. + Assist with development of and oversee departmental operational and capital budget. Exhibit problem-solving skills for efficient/effective management of the department. Suggest changes in department organization, operating standards, policy, plans and programs based on changing conditions and departmental needs. + Coordinate and ensure the proper and timely investigation of security related incidents and recommends appropriate preventive measures when needed. Use legally correct investigative techniques and sound judgment when conducting an investigation. Follow up with risk management and administration per departmental guidelines. All other duties as assigned. + Direct, prioritize and make daily adjustments to shift assignments and security deployment as necessary. Remain on call as circumstances dictate. Analyze after hours incidents and conditions and take appropriate action. Be available for hospital administration and staff feedback as required. Review and analyze incident reports to identify any patterns that may be developing and recommends appropriate action plan. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: + Required Credential(s): + LicensedDrivers License. + LicensedSecurity Guardcredentialed from theNew York Department of Stateobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + Preferred Credential(s): + CertifiedBLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA). Education & Work Experience: + Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred + HS or Equivalent + Law enforcement, hospital security or military experience preferred. + Five (5) years? experience in supervising/managing security work or related field preferred. + Five years applicable experience including one year of progressively responsible leadership experience. + Ten or more years of Security/Law Enforcement experience with a preferred emphasis on Health Care. + Knowledge of Access Control, Surveillance equipment and other security related software is an asset. + Ability to obtain and maintain NYS Security Guard License, Driver's License, BLS, ICS 100, 200 and 700 and all other related mandatory training. + Supervisory/Manager experience preferred.
