About the position:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Non-Production Materials role is a
managerial position for an experienced Procurement professional.
This individual is responsible for developing and executing
Non-Production material strategies. Experience with commodities
such as machine tooling, maintenance tools, janitorial supplies, IT
equipment, and EH&S is required. This individual manages
between 6-10 Indirect Material Buyers as part of the Indirect
Procurement Team.
- Manages a team of Indirect Buyers responsible for the tactical
execution of IMS Materials strategies and production support for
multiple business units, facilities, and functional groups.
- Develops and executes IMS Materials Commodity Strategies that
support and enhance the overall business goals/Hoshin.
- Leads indirect materials contract drafting and
negotiations.
- Ensures effective staffing and roles/responsibilities for IMS
Materials team.
- Enforces of the Raymond Purchasing Policy and makes suggestions
for improvement.
- Works cross functionally with Facilities and Maintenance teams
at multiple Raymond locations to meet increasing materials demands
and to develop improved replenishment methodologies.
- Develops and grows Strategic Supplier relationships to leverage
Best-In-Class supplier partners that support and drive business
strategies.
- Identifies, introduces and implements Innovative MRO/IMS
solutions to cross-functional teams to improve the efficiency of
Indirect Materials supply chain processes.
- Sourcing and setup of new suppliers (Information compilation:
RFQs, RFPs, negotiation) for Indirect Materials.
- Influences and establishes relationships with key business
stakeholders for the assigned Indirect Materials commodities to
ensure service levels.
- Responsible to develop and implement actions to maintain
service level and drive supplier performance for assigned indirect
material commodities.
- Supplier performance review management (scorecards, supplier
management strategy, business reviews)
- Collaboration with TMHNA Centralized IMS Materials Procurement
to support TMHNA programs and Centralization goals.
- May interface/collaborate with company affiliates including our
Sales and Service Center network and sister companies on a regular
basis. About work schedule:
This role is based in Greene, NY or Syracuse, NY with a hybrid work
schedule option.
About you:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- This is a mid-level management role within the organization.
Eight or more years of professional experience, with at least three
years of management experience is required.
- Experience in the technical competencies of the functional
areas of responsibility is preferred. It would be great if you had:
- Deep understanding and experience in use of eProcurement and
eSourcing Tools, ideally within the SAP and Ariba environment.
- Experience managing Buying/Sourcing team required, with focus
on mentoring, training, individual development, and team building
preferred.
- Proven/demonstrated commitment to and experience in Internal
Customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Proclivity for collaborating cross-functionally between
Procurement and Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, Sales, HR,
Accounting/Finance and IT required.
- Experience implementing innovative solutions to Stock Room/MRO
crib operations, item delivery to end users using Vending, VMI
Programs, etc. preferred.
- Proven track record in reducing costs while improving service
levels.
- Must possess exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills
with the ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally
across all levels of the organization and with suppliers.
- Excellent planning, project management, and interpersonal
skills are also a must.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products. Experience in
ERP/MRP programs a plus.
- A background within a heavy product industry such as
automotive, trucks, trains, material handling, or aerospace could
translate well. About the total compensation package:
Salary - Salaries ranging from $102000 - $118000 / year
Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
