Director of Plant Operations
Full Time - Days

What will I do in this role with United Methodist Homes?
As a Director of Plant Operations, supporting our mission will
include the following responsibilities:
- Assigns necessary repairs and maintenance on all equipment,
movable and immovable, by qualified personnel.
- Makes daily rounds and inspects buildings for necessary
repairs.
- Does orders and requisitions, processes invoices for supplies
and equipment as necessary.
- Set-up and implement preventive maintenance policies and
procedures for all facility equipment, if needed.
- Is responsible for setting up monthly maintenance checks on all
facility equipment and confirms all equipment is free of hazards
such as those created by damaged parts of the buildings, or
operating systems.
- Follows established safety rules, policies, and procedures of
the Maintenance Dept.
- Cooperates with other employees and department heads.
- Insures buildings are in compliance with state, federal, and
local codes.
- Attends department head meetings and sits on required
committees.
- Is on-call for emergencies.
- Participates in budget planning for the maintenance
department.
- Submits personnel evaluations and reports to the administrator,
as required.
- Participates in the selection of newly hired personnel for the
maintenance department.
- Issues disciplinary action to maintenance staff as
necessary.
- Is responsible for the security of the facility and its staff,
and to see that there is coverage during the evening/night hours
for same.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the
Administrator.
- Directs workers engaged in ground maintenance activities, such
as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and
disposing of leaves and refuse.
- Establishes or adjusts works schedules and hours.
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and orientation of
maintenance personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What do I need as a Director of Plant Operations with United

- High school diploma.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in plant operations,
and a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
