For more information, visit HeaderLocation: Position will be based in Binghamton NYReports to President NYSEG and RGEPurpose Responsible for policy development and management of gas and electric commodity supply activities including portfolio management, capacity contracting, and billing & risk management for the companies, as well as relevant regulatory compliance. Responsible for development and administration of transmission and reliability policy issues related to FERC and PSC rulemakings, interconnection agreements, load accounting, and New York Independent System Operator (ISO) participation, including associated billing & risk functions. ResponsibilitiesDirects and supervises all activities in the Gas Supply, Electric Supply, Billing & Risk Management, and Transmission Services Departments.
Responsible for developing and implementing the company gas and electric hedging and supply procurement programs, including earnings management where applicable.
Responsible for billing, tie-out, credit management and invoicing of all commodity and transmission service-related transactions in the Energy Services group.
Responsible for negotiating and ensuring appropriate execution of all wholesale electric/gas and transmission/interconnection related contracts and transactions.
Responsible for ensuring the Energy Services department has adequate risk controls / procedures and complies with all regulatory authorities (FERC, NERC, NYPSC, Sarbanes-Oxley, Dodd-Frank, etc.)
Responsible for the development of annual gas supply, electric supply, and transmission services budgets and various load forecasting programs.
Responsible for management of gas retail access program related wholesale activities (capacity management, gas scheduling, ESCO tie-out, policy recommendations, software systems, etc.)
Coordination of RTO related participation, policy development, and activities: NYISO, PJM, and ISONE.
President of Avangrid Networks New York Transco, LLC (Member holding AGR ownership interest in New York Transco LLC) and Board of Manager representative on New York Transco, LLC.Skills and RequirementsExperience:
10+ years of experience in contract negotiation and administration
Working knowledge of transmission and reliability policy
Business acumen, focused on gas and electric commodity markets
Knowledge of interconnection agreements, load accounting, and New York ISO participation, including associated billing & risk functions.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. Master's Degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities:

Familiarity with electric and gas transaction management systems
Familiarity of financial accounting systems (e.g. SAP)
