Job Description:
Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from
the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other
behavioral healthcare issues. The Nurse Managerwill work on a
Full-Time basis out of Helio Health's Detox/Inpatient
Rehabilitation Facility located in Binghamton. We are looking for
an engaging and driven Nurse Manager to provide unparalleled
leadership to our team of nurses and other dedicated healthcare
providers. This will allow us to continue to provide the highest
quality treatment for our communities.

Responsibilities:
The Nurse Manager promotes patients'
health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning
of the patient care area; directing and developing staff;
collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional
staffs; providing support for patients and their families.
Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal
rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a
position to understand service requirements. Maintains nursing
operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program,
operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Assures quality
of care by developing and interpreting Helio Health's philosophies
and standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board of
nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other
governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against
standards; making or recommending adjustments. Maintains nursing
staff by supervising, orienting, and training nurses. Completes
patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and
staff; following up on work results. Promotes patient's
independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching and
counseling patients and their families individually and/or in
groups and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications,
and self-care skills. Resolves patient needs by utilizing
multidisciplinary team strategies. Protects patients and employees
by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and
protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures,
and controlled substance regulations. Maintains patient confidence
and protects operations by monitoring confidential information
processing. Maintains documentation of patient care services by
auditing patient and department records. Maintains nursing supplies
inventory by studying usage reports; identifying trends;
anticipating needed supplies, and placing orders. Other duties as
assigned by supervisor. Qualifications:
- Must have a valid, active Registered Nurse License with
NYS.
- One to three years of clinical experience appropriate to
program preferred
- Minimum Bachelor's in Nursing degree, Master's degree strongly
preferred
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be
substituted for educational requirements.
- Knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of addiction/recovery,
self-help group process and principles of counseling. Our
