We are a full service food and beverage organization. Our mission is to provide a fresh, flavorful and fun 5 star customer experience. We are seeking a new Chef Kitchen Manager to join our team. Your role will be to Manage the daily operations of our restaurant kitchen. As a member of the Kitchen department, you will work with fellow managers, supervisors and line level crew members and report to our Operating Management. What You Will Do: Manage the dish, line, fryer, grill, prep and plating stations. Work hands on, side by side, training, instructing and producing quality dishes Promote a positive work environment focused on talent retention Follow all sanitary health governmental guidelines Motivate all departments to work in unison to achieve company mission of a 5 star customer experience Control inventory maintaining proper food ordering logs Prepare and submit schedule based on skill level and cost control Work well in any size kitchen from compact to comisary Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products Assist in recruiting efforts and interviews Available to work nights and weekends Commitment to loss prevention and theft controls Willing to create daily specials and special event menus such as Restaurant Week What You Will Bring: Our ideal candidate will have [year's experience] of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills: [minimum education] Food Preparation Saut--ing Portion Control Culinary Management Soup Making Scratch Cooking Food Handling Sous Chef Experience Inventory Control Experience Managing Others Willingness to Teach Able to work in a fast pace environment Caters to Customer Special Requests Able to lift 50 pounds Why You'll Love Us: Our company is locally owned and operated. The Kitchen Manager has direct communication with ownership. The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday every week. This provides for two guaranteed days of per week. Salary range for this position is $35,000 - $55,000 per year.
