Team Leader Business Office, United Health Services is seeking a
Team Leader Business Office to join our Revenue Cycle Team in
Binghamton, NY. One sentence about the position. This is a Full
Time position. Shift: Days, 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday-Friday Hours per
week: 40 Salary range: $17.79 - $24.08/hour, depending on
experience Team Leader Business Office Overview The Guarantor
Billing Team leader will provide front line management and training
to the team related to accurate guarantor billing duties. Team
Leader Business Office Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Essential Functions: Essential functions are those tasks, duties
and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable
accommodation.
- Guides guarantor billing staff in the completion of applicable
worklists daily. Ensures fair and even distribution of workloads
and fully occupied, productive work hours. Provides productive
reports to management monthly
- Reviews and completes various work lists of accounts that need
adjustments or corrective action.
- Identifies bankruptcy accounts and completes the bankruptcy
process 100%
- Completes Free Clinic adjustments and follow-up daily
- Coordinates the billing of Forensic cases (sexual assault)
- Handles patient billing complaints and takes corrective action
when appropriate.
- Acts as a liaison with Secondary Business offices to coordinate
the proper handling of self pay accounts and invoicing
- Oversees the handling of Estate cases for all entities and
ensures the Agency has them processed accordingly
- Prepares and maintains various operational reports, logs, and
statistical data. Also reviews similar reports received from our
SBOs
- Assists the supervisor in the recruitment, training, and
evaluation of staff.
- Elevates issues, as appropriate, to the supervisor.
- Serves as a resource to answer questions and resolve problems.
Plans and conducts in-service and other informational meetings with
employees. Encourages and coordinates continuing education for self
and staff.
- Evaluates operations and recommends and implements changes to
improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contacts patients/guarantors to secure payment for services
provided
- Returns all voice mail messages/emails within a timely
manner
- Standards: Account resolution = 80-100 daily
- Standards: Guarantor collection = $30,000 monthly (team
goal)

Minimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred:
- Associates degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field.
