Location, Binghamton, NY Behavioral Health Detox/Inpatient FacilityPer diem position - need mainly for 2pm-10:30pm some days during the week and some weekend hours. Job Description: The receptionist provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, and requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties. Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate staff member. Will transfer a caller to an employee's voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable. Complete helplines as available and necessary. Greets and directs visitors to the company. Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information. Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications. Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.). Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies. Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: + High School Graduate/Equivalency + One year of administrative/clerical experience. + Knowledge of office procedure and clerical skills. + Ability to perform duties independently. + Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with staff, clients and the professional community. + Must have strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. + Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. + Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced work environment. + Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to ask for advice and assistance when needed. Physical Requirements: Must have good visual acuity and hearing with fluency in the English language (specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus). Speech and hearing sufficient for effective and constant in-person and telephone communication. Minimum physical effort is required, with occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, stand, sit, stoop, reach, push and pull on a daily and/or regular basis. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Finger manipulation and hand coordination for constant computer use. Ability to pass test for illicit substances.
