Job Description:
14-May-2020Position OverviewOur manufacturing client north of
the Binghamton, NY area has an exciting career opportunity to join
their corporate finance team as a Tax Analyst. The Tax Analyst will
work primarily as part of a team responsible for federal and state
tax compliance, audits and tax provisions; with some assistance
with tax modeling and planning. Relocation assistance may be
provided for highly qualified candidates.Duties & Responsibilities*
Prepares federal and state income tax corporate returns including
combined/consolidated filings and partnership returns.* Prepare
forms related to United States reporting of international
operations.* Calculate tax provision for select companies quarterly
and annually.* Prepares quarterly federal and state estimated tax
payments and extensions.* Assist in support of IRS examination.
Research federal and state tax issues.* Assist with monthly
maintenance of Tax fixed assets books.* Ability to analyze
financial data and reconcile information from database to financial
statements.* Pull data from various systems to summarize tax
position and workpapers for tax returns.* Assist in research
required for proposed tax transactions for the U.S. group.* Assist
in gathering and analyzing data related to tax savings
opportunities for the company* Gather, coordinate and analyze
information for defense of Federal and state income tax audits.*
Prepare correspondence for federal and state tax authorities in
response to notices and questionnaires.* Communicate effectively
with internal and external customers such as financial and
government auditors.Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline* Minimum 1
year of corporate income tax compliance experience required*
Software Skills Preferred: CorpTax, Sage FAS, SAP, MS Suite* Strong
research and analytical skills are required* Excellent time
management and organization skills. Excellent communication skills
- verbal and written* Ability to work with cross functional teams
and proactively seek solutions or suggest improvements* Please send
