Job Description*BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIAN Starting Wage $90,000/yr**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* MSW, MHC, MFT, MCAT, MPsych (copy required upon initial hire date) - $75,000 per yearValid New York State Drivers License (copy required upon initial hire date)Physical & TB Test (required within one month after initial hire date)*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: *LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT, LPsych, previous experience in working with critically disturbed adolescents - $90,000 per year*HOURS:* 40 hours per weekMust be flexible to meet the needs of the program*POSITION LEVEL:* Responsible to the Residential ProgramDepartment Head*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Responsible for the development of an individual treatment plan for each resident and family, implementation of the treatment plan and subsequent transfer and discharge planning along with appropriate continuing care recommendations.* Maintain up-to-date and accurate information on each resident in the statewide Connections system, including progress notes, incidences of family contact, resident contact individual, and group counseling, etc. as required by New York State Office of Children and Family Services.* Provide individual, group and family counseling to residents and their families as well as coordinate appropriate family/resource visitation in conjunction with the Cottage Manager and Child Care Workers.* During weekly Cottage Team Meetings, provide in-service training to educate and guide Child Care Workers in treatment interventions and supervise such service in consultation with the Residential Program Department Head.* Prepare clinical reports for legal hearings and document any legal activity in Connections.* Chair treatment team meetings in conjunction with the Residential Program Department Head.* Supervise the Cottage Manager Cottage Manager in conjunction with the Residential Program Department Head and Human Resources Department.* Provide administrative oversight of the cottages physical plant and programming.* Attend all meetings and training as requested by the Director of Residential Services, Residential Department Head, and Human Resources Department.* Assist the Director of Residential Services in other delegated functions.* Adhere to the treatment philosophy of The William George Agency and the rules, requirements, and regulations of the New York State Office of Family and Children Services.* Assist the Admissions Department with the intake process.* Responsible for adhering to and performing all duties in accordance with every safety standard, practice, and policy of The William George Agency.
